چکیده

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a term that used to describe people who have difficulties communicating with others and limited actions repetitive actions. could be caused by both genetic environmental conditions, the Shank3 gene in Shank family one of high-risk genes has been found as factors. However, although lot researches done find out relationships between autism, it known only few people. This article will briefly talk about autism review how mutation causes changes brain behaviour.

Contribution of SHANK3 mutations to autism spectrum disorder.

Mutations in SHANK3, which encodes a synaptic scaffolding protein, have been described in subjects with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). To assess the quantitative contribution of SHANK3 to the pathogenesis of autism, we determined the frequency of DNA sequence and copy-number variants in this gene in 400 ASD-affected subjects ascertained in Canada. One de novo mutation and two gene deletions...

Novel Therapeutic Approach for Autism Spectrum Disorder: Focus on SHANK3

SHANK3 is a synaptic scaffolding protein and plays an important role in neuronal development. SHANK3 interacts with various synaptic molecules, including post-synaptic density-95 (PSD-95), homer and GluR1 AMPA receptor. SHANK3 gene is a causable gene of the Phelan- McDermid syndrome (also known as the 22q13.3 deletion syndrome), whose manifestation is global developmental delay and autistic beh...

Autism Spectrum Disorder and International Travel

The literature on international travellers with psychiatric disorders is limited. This perspective article highlights various travel-related aspects of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including its aetiological association with maternal migration, the difficulties faced by long-term travelers with autistic children, and the facilitation of international travel for autistic individuals by the tr...

Comprehensive analysis of two Shank3 and the Cacna1c mouse models of autism spectrum disorder.

To expand, analyze and extend published behavioral phenotypes relevant to autism spectrum disorder (ASD), we present a study of three ASD genetic mouse models: Feng's Shank3tm2Gfng model, hereafter Shank3/F, Jiang's Shank3tm1Yhj model, hereafter Shank3/J and the Cacna1c deletion model. The Shank3 models mimick gene mutations associated with Phelan-McDermid Syndrome and the Cacna1c model recapit...

Lack of Association between NLGN3, NLGN4, SHANK2 and SHANK3 Gene Variants and Autism Spectrum Disorder in a Chinese Population

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by deficits in social communication, absence or delay in language development, and stereotyped or repetitive behaviors. Genetic studies show that neurexin-neuroligin (NRXN-NLGN) pathway genes contribute susceptibility to ASD, which include cell adhesion molecules NLGN3, NLGN4 and scaffolding proteins SHANK2 and SHANK3...
